I want to automate a buy rule and some sell rules. The sell rules consist of a first and second scale out and a catastrophic stop.
The sell rules will be based on targets/stops that are a predetermined number of points away from the entry.
What is the better choice for implementation; Trading Rules or Trading System Indicator? I am using Gain as a data source/broker.
Thanks.
An additional requirement is that I want to have the system place OCO orders, which would include the initial entry, one stop, and one target.
We are currently working on an RTX Indicator that will take a variety of sources as the trigger for initiating the trade (including Trading System) and manage the trade from there. Hope to be able to make this available early in January. When that is available, as long as you have a Trading System designed to initate the trade at the proper time, this indicator should take it from there. I will update this topic when available.
Trade Strategy Management is currently available for CQG and Rithmic: https://www.linnsoft.com/intro-trading-strategy
But not yet for Gain. If you were using CQG or Rithmic, you would need to submit server side brackets with your initial order and the stops/targes/oco would manage the trade after entry.
Thanks Chad. Do you have a timetable for OCO orders with Gain?
Trading Strategy support is now available for Gain clients. CQG, Gain, and RIthmic automated order management have all been enhanced in Version 13.5.20 to support server side automation of trailing stops for OCO bracket orders that are setup via a Trading Strategy.
