"Refresh period" settings for the PaintIndicator

Hello,
could you please confirm how this "refresh period" settings work for the PaintIndicator ?
Does a refresh period set to "10" means that you are forcing a recalc/repaint of the indicator for the past 10 bars ?
Thank you very much for the feedback

PaintIndicator Refresh Period

Yes.  It would only be relevant when involving signals or custom indicators where the values/results on past bars can change.  Most commonly this happens when zig zag or zig zag oscillator are involved in the signals or custom indicators.

Chad,

Chad,
thanks for the confirmation - I have a quick secondary question :
If am displaying with this paint indicator a label which is the value of a custom indicator (being listed in the CI gradient menu for example and involving also ZZO tokens)
Is this Custom Indicator (listed in as the CI gradient) also being recalculated / refreshed for the past 10 bar ? and the corresponding value updated ?
Eddy

PS ; Is this refresh period also working if the indicator basic recalc settings is set to minimal (once per bar) ? or does it require an higher refresh rate ?

Refresh Period

The refresh period does recall to all the custom indicators that can be involved with PaintIndicator.  And the refresh period only kick in when the indicator recalculates....regardless of what the recal settings are.
