Multi-Symbol Relative Performance Line Charts

I created a multi symbol chart to compare relative performance of several indices using a % Change Line style. The view period is 1 day.

I assumed that all symbols would begin at zero, however there is a difference. I could not find any info that addresses this issue.

First Bar of % Change Chart

I believe the value you see on the 1st bar of session would reflect the % Change of the close relative to the open of that bar. That explain it?
