Ok, thanks. Understand creating the tick chart, just noticed when adding the MA indicator there is a 'close' option. Was not thinking 'close' was bar close. For some reason was thinking close price, but price would need some frame......thanks again
Are you wanting to add a moving average to a chart set to a periodicity of "1 TickBar" meaning each bar is just a single tick? If so, using the Close price within the MA will still work fine. It will just use the single price that each tick or bar has. But you may be looking at something like a 500 tickbar instead.
Let's say you are plotting a 500 TickBar chart, and add the moving average below... A 20-Period Volume-Weighted Moving Average of the POC of the bar. That will effectively give you an average of the last 20x500 = 10,000 trades. And MUCH more efficiently. This same approach will actually work for any periodicity.
You would just set the periodicity of the chart to Tick Bar and then add the MA to the chart. I would watch these 2 videos if you haven't already...

No normal tickbar MA. We got it. Very nice, many thanks for the time!
