Blinking signal option

Just a thought for the next update... Would be a nice addition to the signals system if we had the option to make them blink on/off continuously... A nice way to visually indicate additional strength to a condition. This effectively doubles the number of signal options as well.

Blinking Signals

So are you referring to the Signal Marker indicator?  You want each marker in the chart to "blink"?  Or only the marker on the current bar (or last x bars) if there is one?  And to implement a blink, I assume you'd just like it to toggle between 2 colors, maybe every 1 second or so?

Blinking signals

Actually just on/off, like a car blinker for example. It would do so when fired and quit when the next bar or candle is formed, or perhaps after predetermined time interval, or never. A checkbox option in the preferences box for that signal. I do gather we'd probably want it to stop; I am noticing I am pushing the software beyond it's operational capacity already. System freeze with my two loaded-down signal charts, one of which is renko 6 tick. The system freezes if I try to load that one and the NYSE tick at the same time. I've already gone in and reset the historic data settings to lower numbers, should I also go in and purge the database as well?

TICK.Z in Renko Chart

NYSE Tick is not working well in Renko chart due to the tick increment.  It takes very big jumps which can cause big problems for price-dependant periodicities such as Renko (Rangebar, Changebar, PNF, etc).  Change display format (and thus tick increment) to 99 as seen here...

And then the 6t Renko will work fine, but probaby better off with something like a 100t or 200t Renko as seen here...

NYSE

Actually the NYSE is running on an independent chart from the Renko, so problematic in general. I get that it's likely not fixable due to data feed? Not a crisis I have access to a visual in a trade room on other screen for now...

TICK.Z Display Format

Regardless, your issue could still very likely be associated with the display format of TICK.Z.  I would correct that and set to 99.  But otherwise, feel free to share the chart definition and I'll check it out.

Window Tremor Signal Action

If you want something that really gets your attention when a Signal goes off, you might take a look at the Window Tremor sound option as a signal action.  See below.  What this does, it sound a system beep along with shaking the window for about 1 second.  It gets your attention.  The problem currently is, regardless of the chart that triggered the signal, it shakes the frontmost window.  I've fixed this for 12.7c12 to shake the chart that triggered the signal/action.  12.7c12 should be available in next couple days.

You have to create a new

You have to create a new Signal Action (I called mine "ShakeItUp") and setup that signal action with the sound "Windows Tremor" as shown in the screenshot.
