Price Statistics to Indicator

I'd like to see the option to attach the price statistics indicator to a signal, similar to what the profile indicator allows us to do (e.g. attach price statistics to the zigzag indicator).
Thanks for considering it!

Price Stats - Since Signal

Investor/RT 12.7.3 is now available, and Price Statistics now has the new Period option of "Since Signal" which allows you to choose any signal present in the chart.  Price Stats then builds from the last true signal bar forward.  Notice the title of the VolProf column has (12 bar) next to it conveying how many bars are involved in the Price Stats (how many bars back the last signal occurred).  Lots of communication between indicators now.  Profiles can build off Zones or Signals (and now Shapes in 12.7.3!).  Signals can show the numerical values of custom indicators as text.  Indicastors like Keltner Channels and Bollinger Bands can be added to indicator panes for indicators such as Volume Breakdown (Cumulative Delta) and will then operate on the cumulative delta bars instead of price.  And now Price Stats building on Signals.  (and I probably missed a few more).

You guys are amazing! If you

You guys are amazing! If you could add Price Stats building off Zones, that would be great! Also, if possible, could you give an option for Price Stats not to build from last signal, but als keep the stats between signals (like Volume Profiles build from one signal to the next)?

New RTX Indicator - Coming Soon

I am putting the finishing touches on an RTX Indicator I'm calling DateTimes at the moment (for lack of a better name).  This indicator will present a horizontal strip at a user specified vertical position in the chart.  Users will be able to click on this strip, on any given bar, to mark that bar as a begin, or end, point.  It can handle an unlmiited number of such begin/end bar markings.  This indicator will then feed the Price Statistics Indicator, the Profile Indicator, and probably many more over time (unlimited possibilities for this).  In the image below, you can see the DateTime indicator at top, feeding Price Statistics (and Profile).

New RTX

Hi Chad,
I think this is a great idea even if I don't think I fully comprehend all aspects of the new RTX just yet.
I also think it would be a great option if the profile was kept to the vertical height of the strip and did not take into account any volume above or below it even if the start or end bar may have extended outside the top/bottom of the strip.

I also have a suggestion for the name of the new RTX. Perhaps you could call it RTX X-Section as effectively you are taking a cross section of the market activity and doing a biopsy on it :)

Profile Price Filter

You are aware that you can limit the profile indicator by price with this checkbox, and then it will honor not only the start and stop bar, but also the top and bottom price, when dragging the containing rectangle.  I have made quite a few improvements to this process for the next release 12.7.4.  For instance, if you take an existing manual profile and bring up the preferences and turn on (check) the price filter, the current high and low of the profile will automatically get filled into those fields, so you can then drag and drop the high and low from there.

Re Price Filter

Thanks Chad,
I had no idea that option had been added.
Look forward to 12.7.4 so I can have a preset button with this setting.
In 12.7.3 I don't think I can do that yet as if I have it saved as a button it won't draw the profile where I want as it still thinks I want to filter it by the price boundaries used when I created the button.

Price Statistics

Hi Chad, I just want to clarify one point. I am assuming that when the "All Data" option is chosen in the Period drop down box on the Price Stats indicator that "All Data" refers to "All Tick Data". So, for example, if my I/RT platform is configured to retain 5 days of Tick Data (Preferences>Data>Historical Data>Default Historical Data Retention Settings), then Price Stats will use 5 days of Tick Data for its computations, including the determination of the Value Area when the "Highlight Value Area" checkbox is selected.

Price Stats and Tick Data

That is correct.  Price Stats must operate on tick data to compute the "at price" volume statistics that it does such as bid volume, ask volume.  So if you have a chart with a view period of 100 days but only have 5 days of tick data, the "All Data" option will accumulate the data for those last 5 days only.

Thanks!

Chad, thanks for that and also thanks for the outstanding quality of your work, both through the video tutorials and through the development of RTX indicators such as Price Stats! Well done!
