Hi,
Wondering what the absolute quickest way to change a reference line from a solid line to a dotted one is ?
At the moment the quickest I have found is going right click on the line then EDIT Rline Color and then Style and then choose with a left click between solid, dashed and dotted.
I change lines an awful lot and would be great to know the quickest route and if there could possibly be an option to go right click - style.
Thanks for any help
Yes, this is probably the fastest way currently to change a lines style
So you want something maybe along the lines of selecting a line, then hitting a key on keyboard that cycles through line styles? For 12.7.4, I just fixed so when you select a reference line, and hit the = key, it will toggle through the 3 line styles. Will that work?
That sounds awesome
One further question on this Chad.
if we have this line automatically appear on linked charts (eg if linked by a specific linking color), is there any way to automate a change in the line on every linked chart if we use this method ?
Eg if I change the line on Chart A from solid to dotted can this be automated to become a dotted line on linked Chart B also.
I know the line will disappear and appear automatically on the linked chart but at the moment I don't think its style changes on the linked chart just because the style has been modified on the first chart
By "linked charts" are you referring to reference lines that are setup with "All Charts" scope?
Yes, multi linked by symbols, scrolling and color.
So, for example the reference line button would have scope:
"All charts, color 255, 128,64, instrument CLN7"
I have fixed this for 12.7.7 so that all charts which contain the reference line (due to All Charts scope) will instantly update when you update one instance using the = shortcut key.
