Object manager Export

Hi
The Object Manager has an Export button function.
When I export a chart definition using this function, how do I import it back in?

Thanks
Dale

Importing a Chart Definition

Dale,

You can open the text file, select the full definition (ctrl-a), copy to clipboard (ctrl-c), then go over to Investor/RT and pasted (ctrl-v).  Chart should then appear in Investor/RT.  Let me know if you have any problems with that process.

Sometimes you have a chart

Sometimes you have a chart definition .txt file on your desktop or in your downloads folder. If so, simply use drag and drop -- drag the file icon with your mouse and drop it anywhere inside any Investor/RT window. The chart will import and open for viewing. You can drag and drop definition files of any kind into Investor/RT with no need to view the definitional text at all. If you are viewing definitional text onllne, e.g. in a web browser, the copy/paste method is a quick way to import the definition. If you have exported a defintion to a file or downloaded definition files to your computer, select one or more of the files and drag them into Investor/RT to import them. You can drag and drop one or more files directly from your desktop or from any Windows File Explorer window.
