Hey, I recently found a need for a more algorithmic process for plotting my levels. For context I will use channels on a HTF, which leaves a 30-60 point gap between them on ES, and then I would usually look left and plot my levels averaging 10-15 points, and I am a level to level trader. Now we are near ATH and I am having a hard time plotting levels between my majors. I have found RTX Math lines a good supplement for this, however I find them to spaced apart at times, and need to use the fib to cut them in half, it doesn't seem to matter what day I put these, they are either spaced far or too close. Would anyone have good settings I could use? I trade off a 15 min intraday chart.
Hi
I'm not sure I understand your problem completely, but if you need to adjust the space between levels, try this - open the MathLines options, the top left box named "use:" has a drop-down menu, if you select "X Tick Increments" you can adjust as needed.
Thanks for the reply. That does work thanks. But whats the difference between doing 20 tick spaces, vs just spacing stuff 20 ticks in general? I have attached a screen shot from today. these areas are basically my major levels, and you can see there is a huge gap between them. I am wondering if math lines would be a good process of filling in the gaps between them as support/resistance? I just lack the experience here, I have only been trading for a few years.
